Private health insurers do not
have to automatically reimburse customers even if an auditor
responsible for signing off on premiums is found to be biased,
Germany's Federal Court of Justice (BGH) ruled on Wednesday.
MetLife Inc will pay a $1
million fine to resolve claims that it made misleading
statements to investors in failing to pay pension benefits to
thousands of retirees it improperly treated as "presumed dead."
