Russia's Gazprom, the
world's largest conventional gas producer, has received bids
worth $3.15 billion for 3 percent of its own shares that it
decided to sell after the stock hit its highest level in more
than a decade.
The owners of a British-flagged
oil tanker seized last week by Iran said crew members had been
able to talk directly to their families for a limited time and
all those on board were reported to be safe and well.
British Prime Minister Boris
Johnson has spoken to Dutch and Australian prime ministers since
taking office on Wednesday, his spokesman told reporters, adding
that more calls with European leaders were planned.
