Several rockets fell on Saturday
inside Baghdad's heavily fortified Green Zone, its Jadriya
neighbourhood, and the Balad air base housing U.S. troops, the
Iraqi military said, adding that there were no deaths.
Two Katyusha rockets fell
inside Iraq's Balad air base, 80 km (50 miles) north of Baghdad,
which houses U.S. forces on Saturday but caused no casualties,
two security sources told Reuters.

Two loud blasts were heard in
Baghdad early Saturday evening, Reuters witnesses said. It was
not immediately possible to confirm the causes or locations.

Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei
Lavrov spoke with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif
over the phone on Friday to discuss the killing of Iran's
military chief Qassem Soleimani, the Russian foreign ministry
said in a statement.
A manager at Turkish jet
operator MNG Jet has told authorities that he assisted
unwittingly in the escape of ex-Nissan boss Carlos Ghosn from
Japan because he had been threatened by a former acquaintance,
Hurriyet newspaper reported on Saturday.
