BUENOS AIRES, April 27 (Reuters) – Argentina’s central bank
surprised markets on Friday by jolting its key interest rate up
to 30.25 percent from 27.25 percent, citing weakness of the
local peso against the U.S. dollar and vowing to act
again if high inflation persists.
