UPDATE 2-India’s ‘Modicare’ to cost about $1.7 bln a year: sources

NEW DELHI, Feb 2 (Reuters) – Indian Prime Minister Narendra
Modi’s plan to provide health insurance for about half the
country’s population would require an estimated 110 billion
rupees ($1.7 billion) in federal and state funding each year,
sources familiar with the matter said.
